Hon. Charles Dadu Karisa
Hon. Charles Dadu Karisa is a qualified architect and Urban & Regional Planner. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a master of Arts (Planning) from the University of Nairobi. He is a Registered Corporate Member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (MAAK) and Kenya Institute of Planners (MKIP). He is also a Registered Lead Expert in Environmental Impact Assessment/Environmental Audit. Hon. Dadu has over 20 years’ experience in architecture, planning, Land Use and the built environment work. As an architect planner, Hon. Dadu’s career has spanned across private practice, research, academia, and public service. His interests lie in environmental resilience, green technologies, policy formulation/implementation, and organizational systems building and strengthening.
Hon. Dadu has served in several Boards of management including Boards of Municipalities and currently the Physical Planners Registration Board. Before joining the County Executive Committee, Hon. Dadu served as a member of Faculty at the School of the Built Environment, University of Nairobi (2003-2016). Prior to his current position, Hon. Dadu served as County Executive Committee Member for Lands, Energy, Housing, Physical Planning, and Urban Development in the period 2016-2020.
