Crops acreage for the long rains for the County is around 61,877 Ha. Main food crops grown are Maize, Cowpeas and Cassava, whereas Cashewnut, Coconut and Mango are major cash crops in the County. There was an increase in acreage planted compared to the LTA by 10%, 64% and 46% for maize and cowpeas while area under green grams declined by 30% of the LTA
