Kilifi County Drafting Grievance Redress Framework to Enhance Service Delivery
The Kilifi County Government is currently drafting a Grievance Redress Mechanism Framework to enhance service delivery and foster public trust. This framework aims to establish a systematic approach for managing public complaints, inquiries, and feedback, thereby promoting accountability and responsiveness in service provision.
To achieve this objective, the county government is organizing a five-day workshop to equip its officials with the necessary skills and knowledge to develop the Kilifi County Grievance Redress Mechanism Framework.
This workshop is supported by the Kenya Devolution Support Program II (KDSP II) under Key Result Area III, with the Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman) providing technical support.
The workshop follows resolutions reached during a courtesy visit on October 26, 2023, to H.E. Gideon Maitha Mung’aro by Hon. Florence Kajuju, Chairperson of the Commission on Administrative Justice (Office of the Ombudsman).
During the meeting, they discussed potential opportunities for collaboration and partnership to improve public access to information. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the infrastructure for handling complaints, ultimately promoting administrative justice and enhancing communication access.
