In our continuous effort to End Avoidable Blindness in Kilifi County, a total of 436 free life-changing cataract surgeries were conducted this week at St. Luke’s hospital in Kaloleni.
The eye care outreach that benefited 2,991 patients suffering from eye diseases from Kaloleni, Rabai and Ganze constituencies was funded by Australian Aid through the The Fred Hollows Foundation. We wish all surgical patients a quick recovery as they embark on a life free of cataract blindness.
A huge thank you to the team of ophthalmologists, from the Kwale Eye Center, and the county government surgeons for the work well done
