Education Department to help Andrew Kitsao launch his book: Hazina ya Fasihi Simulizi

MONDAY, July 5,KILIFI:The long wait is almost over for Andrew Nyiro Kitsao author of the book Hazina Ya Fasihi Simulizi. Andrew has always loved the language Kiswahili. From his primary school life, he loved writing inshas and started writing seriously after his University education in the year 2013. He is definitely following after his father’s footsteps. His father was the late Prof. Jay Kitsao ,a known Swahili writer. Famously known for books like; Malimwengu Ulimwenguni and Mcheshi Goes To The Market (Mcheshi series).

Apart from being a writer, Andrew Kitsao is also a secondary Kiswahili teacher. He has taught in Bahari Girls Secondary School and is currently teaching Kiswahili at Mtomondoni Secondary School.
In 2018, Andrew started writing Hazina Ya Fasihi Simulizi when he was teaching at Bahari Girls Secondary School. He completed the book towards the end of 2020. His goal with the book is to help secondary students and teachers understand, learn and teach fasihi and Swahili in general better.
Andrew spoke to the CECM ,Education and ICT, Hon. Racheal Musyoki, Chief for Education, Madam Mwenda Karisa and Director for Communications, Dr. Charles Nyiro . He explained his dream and goal for improving the quality of education, specifically secondary school level with his book. The Education department is happy and has promised to help Andrew with the launch of his book; Hazina Ya Fasihi Simulizi to ensure it attains maximum publicity and readership.
