Title:Chief Manager, Finance & Accounts

My immediate former assignment was at the Coast Development Authority where I served as chief Manager,Finance and Accounts for a duration of about two years.

During my tenure I presided over the development and enhancement of revenue generating projects that were geared towards making the Authority financially self sustaining by 2015,through exploiting natural resource endowments in the respective areas and show-casing them in a business perspective. These projects included construction and commissioning of the Wananchi Cottages and conference facility in Kilifi, construction of the Integrated Mango Fruit and Honey processing factory in Hola, the construction of and commissioning of the Slates value adding factory and Samburu restaurant and establishing the Integrated Livestock Development Project

In addition I served as team leader in formulation of the Authority’s Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF),and it was the team that proposed the agenda for the 1 million Hactare irrigation project using the Galana-Sabaki river in order to ensure food security for the country.

Kilifi-Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company.
Before joining CDA I served as the Finance and Administration Manager for the Kilifi Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company. I regard this assignment as my second major career project having been in the pioneer management team that formed and grew the company and its six satellite stations putting administrative and financial structures at each.

The hallmark was to oversee the revenue growth from an average billing of shs. 9 million per month at the time of formation to an average of shs. 26 million in 3 years.

Doyelcy Group Limited - Rwanda
I had a two stint tenure at KIMAWASCO that was interspersed by a brief working period at Doyelcy Group Limited in Rwanda ( the holding company of the now landmark Kigali City Tower) where I served as a Chief Finance Officer of the group that handled among others, the construction of the Kigali City Tower, management of the Akagera Game Reserve, coffee processing and export and real estate.

Other assignments relate to financial year cycles as a senior accountant at Mombasa Teachers Sacco,Tanzania Tea Blenders Ltd,Sun N Sand Beach Resort and Plan Hotel ( K).

A key element in my career growth was starting and running the PATANA Institute as a partner and lecturer in accountancy and finance for three years and Associate lecturer at the Kenya Institute of Management as lecturer and workshop facilitator in finance.

An ardent sports person with a passion for rugby, and look forward to giving a big had to development of the sport in the county. I have a keen interest in soccer and basketball.

Lecturing in finance and accounting is an enjoyable talent and wish to settle to it more actively in the coming years.
